Ana Claudia studied acting in Cancún with the Cuban instructor Albio Paz. Then, she went to Mexico City to study acting at the Acting Workshop run by Héctor Mendoza and Raúl Quintanilla. Ana Claudia has been featured in popular soap operas such as Al norte del Corazón, Señora, Romántica obsesión, and Amor Latino. Talancón won the Sol de Oro award in 1999 for Best New Actress in Romántica obsesión.
Talancón’s movie acting debut was in the movie El Cometa by Marisa Sistach. In this movie, she played a woman named Valentina. It was in this role that Talancón was nominated for the Ariel award for Best New Actress. Ana Claudia’s most significant role was acting alongside Gael García Bernal in El Crimen del Padre Amaro in the role of Amelia in 2002.
In 2006 Ana Claudia appeared in Richard Linklater’s Fast Food Nation as Coco. That year she also starred in the big-screen movie “Alone with her” as the main protagonist, and also appeared in other movies such as “The Virgin of Juarez” in which she received the award for the Best Supporting Female Actor at the BendFilm Festival and in “Mujer Albastrina”. During 2007 Talancón spent most of her days filming large movies instead of smaller soap operas.
In 2008, Ana Claudia starred in the following movies and television shows: “Terminales”, “One Missed Call”, “Arrancame la Vida”, and “Days of Wrath”.
